It’s funny how your whole life can change on a dime. Yesterday I found out definitively that I will be able to begin study as a nondegree student at Indiana University’s fantastic Jacobs School of Music on August 29. Getting here has taken determination, ambition, and ingenuity but after all that it still seems like the kind of thing that happens to other people. I will be leaving Portland – where I’ve lived since I was one year old – on August 23 and moving into my new apartment in Bloomington on the 25th.
